We've rounded up our favorite December bullet journal themes. These beautiful cover pages will give you plenty of inspiration for your own journal. There is no wrong way to choose your theme. Many people think of holidays and celebrations during this time, but December themes can be so much more than Christmas trees and lights - although, we do love a good festive theme!

Below you'll find our favorite December themes. If you see one you like be sure to follow that bujo artist on instagram to see all of their updates throughout the month!

Now, let's get into the best December bujo themes

1. Mistletoe and Snowflake Magic

This December theme is done with washi tape and markers and is filled with traditional winter, but not necessarily holiday imagery. From lush green pine trees, to bright red mistletoe, and a snowflake to pull the winter theme together, there's plenty here to make you instantly think of December.

2. The perfect color palette

For many bullet journal artists, there is a lot of preparation that goes into planning their monthly theme. This planning spread shows how @carolineace_bujo selects her pen colors, washi, accent materials, decorative marks, and stickers - which she then uses in creative ways throughout the month. It's a lovely idea - let us know in the comments how you plan your themes!

3. Secret Garden Embellished Theme

This December bujo theme features an intricate paper gate that opens to reveal the drawing below. Layering cutouts, such as window, doors and gates is an amazing way to add depth to your spread. This one in particular is a charming way to introduce the theme for December - A Secret Garden.

This garden theme also works perfectly with the journal cover.

4. Winter Wonder Land December Bujo Theme

This theme plays on the fact that in many parts of the world, the weather is getting colder and snow is starting to fall. This gorgeous theme is painted instead of being drawn and features snow flakes, and a gold sign pointing you towards your Winter Wonderland. We can definitely imagine the golden sign motif being used to decorate a weekly spread or to fill out a habit tracker. We can't wait to see what the rest of the month will look like.

5. Books and Reading Bujo Theme

This theme shows us that you don't need to lean into winter imagery to create an amazing December theme. As the weather gets chilly, December is the perfect time to curl up in your favorite cozy spot with a good book - and this theme captures that vibe perfectly.

6. Ornament Overlay

The theme is holiday perfection! It shows how you can use a themed cutout to highlight the drawing on the page below.  The clear plastic used for ornament allows the picture to show through, while also allowing a cute sparkle to be drawn on top. The washi border on the top and bottom of the page really pull everything together. Everything about this December theme is wonderful!

7. Christmas and Gingerbread Bullet Journal Cover Theme

And what would a December list be without a theme that reminds us of our favorite childhood memories. In this playful monthly cover, we have Santa's trademark "Ho Ho Ho" and a mug of hot chocolate garnished with a gingerbread cookie. This theme makes us ask, "Is it Christmas yet?"!

So that's our roundup of our favorite Bullet Journal themes for December! We know there are so many great ones we haven't seen yet - let us know in the comments who we should check out.
